Speaker Bio: Sarah is an evolutionary biologist and geneticist interested in how social behaviors arise and evolve. Her lab studies socially variable bees to understand the factors that shape the evolution of social behavior. Her lab integrates methods from many different areas of biology, from evolutionary and population genomics to neurobiology and field ecology. Kocher is an HHMI Freeman Hrabowski Scholar and an Associate Professor in Integrative Biology at the University of California, Berkeley.
